Native Plants of South East Queensland Pty Ltd is an ecosystem restoration company providing bush regeneration and vegetation management services to clients in and around SEQ. We are currently seeking casual team members at all experience levels - trainee, team member, supervisor. While primarily based out of the Redlands we often operate at multiple rural sites around South East Queensland and northern NSW offering opportunities to work and stay in beautiful locations.
Day to day duties will include:
- Assisted restoration of native and degraded landscapes through planting and weed control.
- Planting maintenance from small scale local- community projects to large carbon offset projects.
- Application of vegetation management techniques by use of herbicide, hand, and power tools as well as manual bush regeneration techniques.
- Daily logistical planning and preparation.
- Adherence to and implementation of NPSEQ's integrated OHS, EMP and Quality assurance programs.
The Ideal candidates would be:
- Physically fit to meet the demands of the role.
- Environmentally conscious and have a genuine love of being and working outdoors.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Enjoys travel and camping.
- Interested in growing their skills and knowledge with the business.
- Safety conscious and able to work independently or as a part of a team.
Required qualifications:
Qualifications in CALM, Horticulture, or environmental science or equivalent experience will be highly regarded - students in related fields encouraged to apply as we have casual positions.
- OHS White Card.
- Open licence and own transport desirable.
Desirable:
- ACDC (Herbicide Application).
- Chain Saw level 2.
- Senior First aid.
Work hours are flexible and will be negotiated with successful candidate.
