AddressNoosa & District Landcare is looking for casual bush regeneration workers from March to at least the end of June, with ongoing work available for those who have demonstrated applied knowledge and commitment.
These roles will be for works within the Gympie Region.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate 1 in Conservation and Land Management
- Minimum: 6 months demonstrated experience in bushland regeneration or natural areas management
- Current driver’s licence.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current 30215 QLD - General Safety Induction (Construction Industry)
- AC/DC Commercial Operators Licence.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of local native plant and weed species and ability to identify these in the field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of various weed treatment techniques
- Demonstrated knowledge of bushland management principles and how to apply these in the field across a range of ecosystem types.
- Demonstrated use of brush cutters, back packs and general related equipment.
Desirable
- Certificate 3 in Conservation and Land Management
- Manual drivers’ licence
- Experience in using Quikspray units.
- Chainsaw – Fell small trees (level 2)
