Your Team

Your new role sits within the Platforms Distribution team, which is responsible for managing relationships with advisers, consultants and licensees who use CFS Platform products. We also look to actively grow our network by identifying new client relationships.

Your Responsibilities

The Business Development Associate (BDA) is responsible for supporting the sales team to service a panel of existing adviser relationships through a combination of proactive and reactive service support work and operational responsibilities.

The role is based in Adelaide and supports our SA and WA sales teams.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Building effective working relationships with Business Development Managers and Relationship Managers.
  • Providing service work and operational responsibilities to support client growth in line with segmentation, including making proactive servicing phone calls to panelled advisers.
  • Building effective relationships with financial advisers on the panel, via phone-based and email communication with the aim of providing excellent service.
  • Supporting specific sales/retention campaigns and reporting on business activity, campaigns and market related information.
  • Managing queries received by the BDM and RMs and via the Team inbox in a professional and timely manner.
  • Supporting CFS events and client seminars, Adviser PD days and Dealer Group conferences as required.


Your Capability and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a client service background in the financial advice industry. This opportunity would also suit a graduate who has gained exposure to financial advice through their studies and/or work experience.

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Ability to identify and understand client needs and respond in a timely, professional manner
  • Strong interpersonal / communication skills
  • Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently
  • RG146 qualified or willingness to commence studies
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce/ Business/ Economics/ Accounting) will be highly regarded
