Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Part-Time Business Development Manager to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding our client base and driving business growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Client Acquisition: Identify and prospect potential clients in the courier and logistics industry, nurturing leads from initial contact to closing deals.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to develop targeted business strategies.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, partners, and stakeholders to maximize business opportunities and client satisfaction.
- Customized Solutions: Understand client needs and tailor logistics solutions to meet their specific requirements, ensuring a high level of customer value.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations, prepare proposals, and effectively communicate the value proposition to clients, addressing any concerns or objections.
- Sales Strategies: Develop and implement effective sales strategies, tactics, and action plans to achieve Business Development targets.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain a well-organized sales pipeline, track leads, opportunities, and sales activities using CRM tools.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales performance, market insights, and progress toward goals to the management team.
- Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand professional networks and promote our services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven history in Business Development or sales, preferably within the transportation industry.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, supply chain management, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills.
- Initiative-taking and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Highly organized, meticulous, and able to manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours and adapt to changing business needs.
- Ability to analyse data and trends to make informed business decisions.
- Strong networking skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
Working Hours: This is a part-time position, with flexible working hours averaging 24 hours per week. The schedule will be determined in collaboration with the candidate to ensure an effective balance between work commitments and personal life.
Location: The role offers a blend of remote work and in-person meetings with clients and team members. Candidates must be able to travel as needed to attend meetings and industry events.
