Business Intelligence Database Analyst

Duties

• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve data issues involving IBAs built Azure Data Warehouse and IBA’s lending application Finacle
• Performance monitoring & tuning of the Data Warehouse
• Support development of enterprise reports and other reporting related tasks
• Development & optimisation of queries
• Develop and maintain system and user documentation
• System testing including the development and documenting of test cases
• Assist with the administration of IBA’s databases
• Security & System administration tasks
• Provide advice and training to users and colleagues
• Work with the Business Analyst and Innovation teams to define requirements and implement enhancements
• Ensure data integrity
• Work in collaboration with IBA SIAM partners to ensure resolution of data related issues.

Prerequisite requirements

• Relevant certifications to support your experience will be beneficial.
• The successful applicant must hold or be willing to undergo a security clearance to the level of Baseline as a condition of employment.
• To satisfy character requirements applicants must undergo a police records check.

Required Capabilities

Knowledge and experience

• Strong Microsoft Power BI experience
• Strong query performance and optimisation experience
• Experience using Microsoft SQL
• Experience with star schema data model
• Knowledge of Azure data factory, Databricks & Data Lake

• Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with technical and non-technical colleagues
• Strong technical knowledge of data management applications
• Strong knowledge of contemporary ICT practices
• An ability to conceptualise and think creatively to solve problems with attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to understand and navigate technology in response to business requirements
