Designtec Commercial Furniture specializes in designing, manufacturing, and supplying quality commercial furniture to various sectors including government, industrial, commercial, aged-care, and education. Situated in Western Australia, our 6500m2 manufacturing facility is dedicated to delivering quality products and service.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a committed individual for long-term employment, ideally someone who is driven towards building a career with us. The role requires an experienced Cabinet Maker and/or Wood Machinist to be versatile within our manufacturing facility. The tasks involve:
- Assembling standard freestanding commercial furniture such as workstations, bookcases, cupboards, and various storage units.
- Preparing and cleaning panels for our flat-pack furniture range.
- Preparing and cleaning workstation tops.
- Assembly work and general cleaning and preparation.
- Operating Beams Saw and Edge Banders (training provided if required), including loading and unloading panels, selecting edging materials, and following job paperwork.
- Operating boring (CNC) machines (training provided if required), involving loading and unloading panels, following job paperwork, and selecting job programs.
ABOUT YOU
• Qualified Cabinet Maker and/or Wood Machinist, or substantial on-the-job experience in this field.
• Strong attention to detail and a sense of pride in your work.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting particleboard panels.
• Flexible, reliable, and possessing a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

HOURS
This is a full-time position, 38 hours per week:
Monday to Thursday: 6 am to 2:30 pm Friday: 6 am to 12 pm.
Occasional overtime required.
