AddressOur client are an Australian owned High End Furniture business based in the South East Suburbs and have been operating since 1987. They have recently moved to their state of the plant with start of the art machinery.
Their products are beautifully designed and crafted by hand from start to finish. Their team is creative and dedicated to ensure that their design philosophy is applied to everything you see.
Due to their ongoing growth they are currently seeking Permanent Cabinet Makers to join their team. Hours are 6:00am - 2pm Monday to Thursday and Fridays are 6:00am - 12pm with plenty of overtime on offer for the successful candidate.
Key accountabilities:
- Read, produce and interpret job sheets and drawings
- Work with solid timbers and veneers
- Assembly of tables, chairs, buffets, couch frames, stools and any other timber furniture pieces
- Use various cabinet making hand tools
- Operate machinery in machine workshop when required
- Perform polishing and oiling when required
- Make measurements and calculations
- Set up, operate and maintain joining machines
- Produce angled and curved furniture using solid timber
- Set up, operate and maintain sawing machines
- Construct jigs and fixtures
- Prepare cutting list from plans and job specifications
- Set up, operate and maintain computer numerically controlled (CNC) sizing machines
- Set up, operate and maintain routing and shaping machines
To be successful:
- Apprenticeship in Carpentry or Cabinet Making
- Enjoys working in a team environment
- Have the ability to read an interpret drawings
- A passion for sustainability
- Loves to make great furniture
- Have your own reliable transport
