Job description

The UGL New Energy Team are working towards creating an emissions free renewable energy sector. 2022 saw us deliver x2 Tesla Megapack installations (Battery Energy Storage Systems), and x2 Solar Farm projects in Adelaide and Queensland, both of which are in the commissioning phase. Exceeding our target revenue for the year we have positioned ourselves well for 2023, where our focus will be safe delivery of Solar Farms and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Projects, nationally. The future of New Energy shines bright as we price more battery and solar projects, as well as looking to the future with additional types of renewable energy projects around the country.

With this success and growth comes opportunities for new talent to join our team including experienced Fiber Technicians for our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) project located in Collie Western Australia

Experience/Skills required:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Fiber Technician in similar role, on a construction site
  • Dual Trade as an Electrician /Fiber Technician an advantage but not essential
  • Knowledge and experience in splicing and testing fiber optics
  • Proven commitment to promoting safety, quality, and environment compliance on site.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team

 Key Requirements:

  • WA Electrical Licence (an advantage but not essential) 
  • Relevant Qualification 
  • Construction White Card
  • CPR/LV
