About Falls Creek Cross Country
Falls Creek Cross Country (FCXC) is the premier destination for cross country skiing in Victoria. Featuring 65 kilometres of groomed cross country trails, FCXC has one of the largest and most sought-after cross country skiing areas in the country.
Linked closely with the nearby Howmans Gap Alpine Centre (and managed by YMCA Camps), FCXC is the one-stop-shop for equipment rentals, lessons, repairs, retail and trail information, with a highly experienced staff that are passionate about cross country and the local area.
About the Role
As a cafe assistant, you will work within the catering team to ensure all campers receive delicious meals during their stay. You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and providing food for visitors, including the coordination of special diets
- Assembling and preparing ingredients as required
- Applying best practice as outlined in the camp's food safety program
This is a casual role with an hourly rate of $29.12 + Super.
Mandatory Qualifications
- DoFoodSafely Certificate (online free short-course)
About You
You are a motivated individual with a commitment to perform to their best. You possess problem-solving skills and can apply initiative to work unsupervised, if required. Previous catering, cleaning or hospitality experience, and knowledge and understanding of kitchen operations will be highly regarded.
