Want the opportunity to join and be an integral team member of one of Melbourne's leading superfood and health cafes? Acai Brothers Port Melbourne are on the hunt for a Manager to lead our team of customer service staff on a full-time basis. 

Located in the heart of Port Melbourne on the lively Bay Street, we have a well established reputation of being a go-to destination for visitors of Port Melbourne. We are very proud to be a long-standing member of the Port Melbourne business community (we've been here almost 7 years now!) and we're looking for the right person to help lead our operations into the future. 

The Role

Reporting through to our company directors, the right candidate will lead the day to day operations of our business, with a major priority on customer service and staff management being two of the critical tasks at hand. 

We truly value our workplace culture and the customer experience of everyone who walks through our doors, so we're after a true customer service professional who will be the face of our brand. 

Your duties and responsibilities will include the following;

  • Work in-store as our Manager (5 days a week including a weekend shift either Saturday or Sunday) 
  • Creation and issuing of weekly staff rosters (managed via Deputy) - we operate daily shifts of 2 - 6 staff members, Monday - Sunday
  • Ensure efficient operation of all food and store service
  • Ensuring all OH&S/policies and procedure responsibilities are adhered to for yourself, and your staff - safety is our biggest priority!
  • Help recruit, train and bring new staff on-board where required
  • Running of quarterly meetings with our team of 12 staff.
  • Work with our company directors on driving efficiencies in our business operations
  • Help driving a culture where customer service is prioritized, and our staff are having fun along the way
  • Being a trusted leader who our staff can turn to in difficult situations
  • The ability to think on your feet and problem solve where required
  • Assisting in the day to day running of our social media accounts including Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok
  • Stock management including ordering and weekly stocktakes 

Desired skillset/experience

  • General hospitality experience
  • Customer facing experience
  • Barista experience is highly desirable 
  • Basic financial understanding required - management of tills, ordering systems, budgeting and reporting
