A busy cafe in Brighton Le Sands is looking for a full-time cafe & restaurant manager working in Brighton Le Sands on a rotating roster 7 days per week, guaranteed 38 hours per week.
As the café & restaurant manager, you will be responsible for running all aspects of operations - implementing systems, hiring and training your team to meet company and business standards and philosophies.
This is a hand-on position. To be successful in this role you will:
· Be experienced in a Café & Restaurant environment
· Have a solid knowledge of current trends and styles as well as food and beverages knowledge
· Have a strong business acumen and proven ability to control costs
· Ability to work in a fast paced F&B environment and deliver excellent service standards under pressure
· A proven ability to implement work place procedures
· Have a strong customer service ethos
· Lead, drive and motivate the team to deliver incredible customer experience
· Motivation and initiation in building business success through your efforts and your team's
· Have strong capability in supervising staff
· Be able to assist the team during busy times
· Be able to create a welcoming and caring environment for customers
· Be able to resolve customer concerns and enquiries
· Working with chefs to plan menu updates and for efficient provisioning and purchasing of supplies (Overseeing stock levels)
· Recording of daily takings and expenses
· Managing budgets, assessing profitability, and reporting to director on monthly basis and setting targets in response to this
· Preparing and presenting staffing and sales reports
· Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities, sales representatives
· Suggest improvements
Skill Requirement:
The successful candidate would also need to possess at least 2 years full time industry experience. Alternatively at least 3 years of closely related work experience will substitute for formal qualifications.
