Café Manager
Hoopla was established in Kensington in 2010 and is a thriving café focussed on speciality coffee and freshly produced, wholesome food, operating 7 days a week. Our selection of dine in or takeaway sweet and savoury food is prepared by our chefs - fresh, on site, every day with support from a community of high-quality suppliers. We also offer whole cake and small function catering.
We require a café manager to oversee the operations of the venue day to day and your responsibilities will include:
- Manage day to day operations
- Ordering and procurement to set budgets
- Team hiring, onboarding, performance management and training
- Ensuring operational procedures deliver maximum efficiency including staff roles and responsibilities
- Developing and managing staff rostering to set budgets
- Develop action plans for the team to meet operational and organizational objectives
- Menu planning in consultation with the Chef’s and owners
- Develop and manage special events such as Mother’s Day, Christmas etc.
- Oversee open and close procedures including reconciliation of financial transactions
- Ensure the venue is maintained in compliance with health, safety and hygiene legislation and guidelines.
- Ensure the venue and staff are impeccably presented
- Manage virtual and in-person customer interactions including complaints and feedback
- Conduct staff meetings and training sessions in line with staff development plans
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will have attained a Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in hospitality or management or both. Qualifications will be looked at alongside your employment experience. Required employment experience of 2 years with the above qualifications or 3 years without will be required.
