Job description

Commencing immediately (as soon as tomorrow), successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with emergency phone line for flood victims across the state of Victoria. The Contact Centre Operators will operate in the call centre in Newborough.

This role offers full-time hours, Monday to Friday and is office based. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who are passionate about helping others and have a good attention to detail. Please note you must have/ willing to obtain a valid Police Check and have had triple doses of covid vaccination.

Call/Contact Centre Operator Centre Operator

  • Availability to commence ASAP with opportunity to extend
  • Full time hours - 38 hours per week- Monday to Friday - have flexibility to be rostered on between the hours of 7am - 7pm (only 8 hour shifts per day)
  • Hourly rate is $31.89
  • Multiple positions available

Main duties:

  • Assist flood victims with accommodation, funding and food etc.
  • Update databases to reflect changes to the status of customers and prospective customer
  • Interpret callers' requirements, redirect calls to the appropriate area and respond to straight forward queries.
  • Various administrative duties to support the delivery of customer service
  • Adhere to privacy and abide by code of conduct in relation to sensitive information

Required Experience:

  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good communication skills (both spoken and written)
  • Carries out their assigned duties under general direction;
  • The ability to communicate, written and verbally, clearly and effectively with all levels of internal staff and external clients
  • Must have good administration and customer service skills.

Requirements:

  • Proven administration or customer service skills preferred but client will consider candidates from retail or hospitality sectors if they have good computer skills and communication skills. Previous Call Centre experience would be a bonus but not essential.
  • MUST BE TRIPLE COVID VACCINATED
  • Have a valid POLICE CHECK

Commencing immediately, successful candidates will be responsible for assisting with emergency phone line for flood victims across the state of Victoria - full training provided.
