Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
This role is located in our Site office in Lockhart on a 2:1 roster, and would work as part of the existing Site Admin team, reporting into the Construction Manager.
The Role
Elecnor Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Camp’s Coordinator on a FIFO roster located in Lockhart. This opportunity could also suit local candidates.
The Camp’s Coordinator is responsible for the management of the camp delivery partners and their performance including but not limited to, rooms and general facilities, offices and welfare facilities cleaning, catering and food preparation and storage, security services, wet mess and retail shop operation, fuel management, water and waste management.
This is a significant opportunity to contribute to one of the nation’s largest energy infrastructure projects in an exciting and rewarding role.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Proactively contribute to a safety-conscious work environment.
- Coordinate with the Project Controls team with respect to project program updates that may impact the forecast histogram; and
- Liaise with the travel and accommodation bookings team and other departments to ensure accommodation and travel requirements are met
- Audit camps to ensure contractors are meeting contractual obligations
- Attend camp welfare meetings.
- Ensure camps are maintained and kept in good working order per the camp build & hire subcontractor scope of work
- Verification and reporting of claims
- Regular meetings with the camp contractor on site and the contractor’s management
- Update corrective actions register as needed
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years as a Camps Coordinator
- Five years of hospitality management experience coupled with facility manager experience
- Extensive experience in all aspects of on-site camp activates
- Thorough understanding of Australian OHS legislative requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- White Card (General Construction Induction Card)
- Drivers License
