What is the job?
We are seeking a Fulltime Camping Retail Assistant Store Manager for our Warana store. Some of the tasks involved are, but are not limited to:
- Product knowledge training
- Stock control
- Staff rostering
- Cash handling, point of sale operation, returns and customer relations, issues and enquiries
- Assisting with marketing material and creation of engaging and eye catching in store displays
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
We are seeking those who have industry recognised retail sales experience and proven managerial experience. Applicants would ideally have an interest in the outdoors, and have experienced camping - however this is not essential.
Applicants should have a strong desire to learn and develop their own personal skills.
The Assistant Store Manager will have good computer skills to enable information accessing and reporting. This position is a hands-on role working with casual staff, providing sales training and controlling the store on a daily basis.
Applicants should have the ability to work independently when required, and work well in teams.
Tentworld, in its normal course of operations regularly sells bulky goods. All applicants should be capable of shifting bulky goods in a safe manner without restriction.
