About Us
Christian Youth Camps Ltd (CYC) exists to create opportunities for all people to personally encounter the living God through camping, conferencing, facilities, and programs. CYC operates 6 campsites, being CYC The Island, CYC Phillip Island Adventure Resort, CYC Forest Edge, CYC Adanac, CYC City and CYC Blue Lagoon. Across our sites we host schools, churches, and numerous other groups in addition to running outreach holiday camps and offering leadership development programs. These sites are supported by our CEO and Head Office team, based on Phillip Island.

About the Job
As a key member of the Christian Youth Camps Ltd Pastoral & Management team, the Site Manager ensures all all guests enjoy their camp experience through effective facility management, while building staff & volunteers into a harmonious team that achieves the spiritual, business & community purposes of CYC Ltd.

About You
You will be a person committed to the Christian faith, a follower of Jesus who demonstrates maturity in your faith. You are a recognised leader committed to spiritual development, with a strong emphasis on bible reading and prayer in your personal life. You are actively involved in your local church.
In your professional life, you have strong business acumen with proven leadership skills including leading staff.
Balancing strategic and operational skills is a must as is having the ability to capture new opportunities.
Your administration, written and verbal communication skills are excellent and you are a confident public speaker. You have strong interpersonal skills which includes being approachable, a good listener, and relationship builder.
You lead proactively and promote a positive working culture where no job is beneath you. You are unflappable and flexible, able to adapt to the changing needs of both the business and your staff
Selection Criteria
Essential
• Active involvement in a Christian faith community
• A strong alignment with CYC’s mission and values
• A passion for Christian Camping / Christian Ministry
• Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage staff
• Proven ability to work within budgetary guidelines
• Proven experience in planning and delivering outcomes
• Familiar with working within legislative compliance processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Driver’s licence
• Working With Vulnerable People Check
Desirable
• Experience in the group accommodation and/or camping industry
• Bachelor’s or post graduate qualification in theology and/or business or finance
