The Campus Logistics Cluster Lead, leads the efficient and effective coordination of safe day to day Campus Logistics across a large cluster of TAFE SA campuses. The role encompasses site induction and hazard ID and delivery of property services, in particular cleaning, grounds maintenance, security and minor maintenance, fleet operations and maintenance and the receiving and distribution of goods and supplies. In addition the role assists with spatial efficiency initiatives, on campus Event logistics compliance and coordination and campus site closures. The role performs the line management duties of a team of staff.Key Selection Criteria
  • Proven ability to define issues, utilise a high level of initiative and judgement to interpret precedents, guidelines and/or instructions and make sound, timely decisions to meet customer needs.
  • Experience in staff supervision and performance management and development, allocation of work with the ability to delegate substantial tasks, provide clear instructions and manage the process and performance.
  • Sound knowledge of facility and property maintenance practices, standards and WHS regulations including applying a very high level of inspectorial and field operations skills.
  • Well-developed ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with a diverse range of customers, prepare concise reports with appropriate recommendations and negotiate with others to achieve acceptable outcomes.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under general direction, either independently or within a team, identify and respond effectively to the requirements of a diverse range of customers and manage high volumes of work to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in undertaking and managing facilities and property services for a large organisation including cleaning, security, waste removal, grounds maintenance.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully coordinating and managing contractual arrangements with an external service provider including resolving contractual matters.
  • Demonstrate ethical behaviour and work effectively within the public sector in line with legislative compliance and policy.
Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed. Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).
  • Out of hours work will be required.
  • Some intra/interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.
  • Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Development Program.
  • Eligibility to work in Australia.
  • It is an ongoing condition of employment for all employees whose employment is subject to a Health Direction/site requirement, including but not limited to an Emergency Health Direction, that they are fully compliant with the requirements of the relevant Directions in order to perform their duties. This will also include but not be limited to: COVID 19.
  • Must possess or be willing to undertake training to obtain (6 months from employment):
  • First Aid certificate
  • Fire Warden training
  • Forklift License (LF)
