Seven’s Canberra, Watson newsroom is looking for an Editor to oversee and manage the Canberra Newsroom journalists and operations.
You will:
- Provide leadership to all News staff at Seven Regional’s Canberra office to the highest standards of professionalism and personal integrity.
- Oversee the administration of the Canberra Newsroom journalists
- Ensure the 6:30 bulletin is produced on time and to the highest possible standards regarding content, production and on-air presentation.
- Provide day to day leadership and direction to all News staff located in the Canberra hub, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Oversee and manage any other News services, programs and facilities for which the company may from time to time enter into contractual arrangements.
- You will also be required to present news updates and some bulletins from time to time
We are seeking someone with:
- Strong knowledge of the regional news environment.
- Knowledge of television production.
- Demonstrated leadership.
- Exceptional interpersonal and people management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build collaborative and productive relationships.
- Drive, tenacity, and results driven attitude.
- Assertiveness and ability to work in high pressure, fast paced environment.
- High level problem solving, organisation and time management skills.
- High level oral and written communication skills.
