Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cannabis Cultivation Technician to join our cultivation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticulture or agriculture, with a keen interest in Cannabis Cultivation. This role involves hands-on work in the grow rooms and greenhouses, ensuring the health and productivity of our cannabis plants from seedling to harvest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operations of the cultivation facility, including planting, watering, feeding, pruning, and harvesting cannabis plants.
- Monitor plant health and growth, identifying and addressing any issues related to pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
- Maintain accurate records of plant development, treatments, and environmental conditions.
- Implement and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all cultivation activities.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the cultivation areas, including routine cleaning and sterilization of equipment and tools.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of irrigation, lighting, and climate control systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and environmental monitoring to ensure optimal growing conditions.
- Collaborate with the cultivation team to optimize growing techniques and improve yields.
- Adhere to all company policies and regulatory requirements, including health and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in horticulture, agriculture, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in horticulture, agriculture, or Cannabis Cultivation is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of plant biology, growth cycles, and cultivation techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) practices and familiarity with common cannabis pests and diseases.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and data entry.
- Ability to follow strict protocols and adhere to regulatory requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including high humidity and temperatures.
