We are seeking a highly skilled Cannabis Master Grower to join our team at PharmaCrop, a federally licensed cannabis producer located in Queensland, Australia. As the Cannabis Master Grower, you will play a pivotal role in the production of high-quality cannabis products for medical markets.

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Cultivation Oversight: Manage all aspects of cannabis cultivation, from seed to harvest, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance with federal regulations.
  2. Strain Selection: Collaborate with the cultivation team to select and develop strains that meet market demands and ensure consistent product quality.
  3. Nutrient and Pest Management: Implement effective nutrient programs and pest control strategies to optimize plant health and yield.
  4. Climate and Environmental Control: Maintain and monitor environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity, and lighting, to optimize plant growth.
  5. Supervision: Lead and train a team of cultivation staff, providing guidance and support to ensure productivity and compliance.
  6. Crop Health and Maintenance: Implement integrated pest management strategies to prevent and address issues related to plant health.
  7. Harvest and Post-Harvest Processing: Oversee the harvest and drying process, ensuring proper curing and storage of cannabis flowers.
  8. Compliance: Maintain rigorous records and ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local regulations.
  9. Research and Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, research, and technological advancements to improve cultivation techniques.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in cannabis cultivation, including strain selection and breeding.
  • Strong knowledge of plant biology, cultivation techniques, and pest management.
  • Familiarity with federal and local regulations governing cannabis cultivation.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.
  • Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience in a federally licensed cannabis production facility.
  • Knowledge of advanced cultivation techniques, nutrition recipes, Cannabis pests and diseases.
