Canteen / Kitchen Assistant

CBC Fremantle is a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition for boys in Years 7 to 12. Founded by the Christian Brothers in 1901, the College has an outstanding reputation for having served the local Fremantle community for over a century helping families to raise boys who continually strive for excellence and who exhibit Catholic Leadership in their quest to establish a more just and peaceful society. 

The College seeks to assist in the spiritual, academic, cultural, physical and emotional development of boys while acknowledging the primary role of the family as educator. The College is seeking a new staff member, willing to compliment our busy school canteen team and move with us through the realisation of our brand new commercial kitchen. The successful candidate will be fanatical about a clean and tidy workplace, follow and adhere to policies and procedures, insist on quality and consistency, be adaptable and have a passion for nutritious food and presentation.
 

Key Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will:

• Assist and support the College Chef.
• Be able to work under pressure in a busy kitchen within a team environment &independently as required.
• Be reliable, enthusiastic and punctual.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
• Provide customer service.
• Pack orders.
• Facilitate daily kitchen clean down and end of term deep clean.

Position Details:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 2.30pm each day, term time only. Fixed term contract initially, commencing 15 April 2024 and concluding5 December 2024, with the view to an ongoing position for 2025.
• Free onsite parking provided.
