We currently have several new opportunities for candidates with experience in retail banking in our Channels Operations Team based in Sydney where you will be supporting our ambition to connect our retail and premier customers and our people.

This role will see you finding new opportunities, ideating on how to improve our training and people capability program and building and delivering transformational change. You will partner with our Branches, Contact Centre and Virtual teams and key stakeholders across, Product, Risk, Compliance and Learning & Development and to develop local solutions and drive this transformation.

You will responsible for the development and implementation of front-line improvement strategies directly related to enhancing the quality of Retail lending submissions. You will work with stakeholders to fundamentally support improving the credit skills of frontline Retail lending staff and serve to identify any ongoing training needs in terms of credit skills, credit application quality and financial analysis skills, as well as potentially delivering such training, either in a 1-on-1 coaching session or group training session. Experience in managing and coordinating training projects and evidence of coaching for success a requirement.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to create a culture of continuous learning and growth across front line roles
  • Use data and insights from across the channels business to support the uplift of capability across Channels
  • Carry out coaching of frontline staff 
  • Design and oversee updates to learning material that enable the transfer of the required skills knowledge and behaviours to existing and new employees with a view to embedding ongoing and continual improvement in capability
  • Working closely with both 1st and 2nd line credit underwriting teams to identify and close any knowledge gaps across the ERM and PRM cohorts
  • Record evidence of coaching/training and measure the effectiveness of it

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Workplace Trainer and Assessor Certificate IV and or other related formal qualification on Adult education and learning principles desirable
  • Experience of working with teams that are geographically dispersed 
  • Experience of providing consultative advice to business stakeholders  
  • A self-starter with strong leadership skills, resilient and tenacious with focus on execution and delivery. 
  • Strong influencing, negotiating and stakeholder management skills along with excellent written and verbal communication
  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise and meet critical deadlines
  • Experience in coordinating / managing training projects.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold Australian PR/Citizenship or New Zealand Citizenship, or who can demonstrate current unrestricted work rights in Australia without limitations.
