Car Detailer/Storage Assistant

The Autohouse Group is seeking a passionate Detailer who wants to step up their work and embark on an exceptional variety of vehicles.

We store 180+ cars and motorbikes for our valued customers and have now taken it upon ourselves to install our own professional detail bay in our Darra facility so we can better service our storage customers.

This job is for someone who is properly passionate about the Automotive craft and wants to work with a concise team of fellow-enthusiasts. From McLarens to Mazdas and Ferraris to Fords, no two cars in the bay will be the same. 

The job is initially a hybrid role of exclusively running our new detailing bay operations, as well as assisting with vehicle storage operations - 

Detailing Role Description

Essential Skills:

• General exterior and interior cleaning
• Paint restoration and correction work, including on classic and vintage vehicles
• Engine bay detailing
• Ceramic coat protection applications
• Iron/mineral removal

Secondary Skills:

• Mould removal
• Headlight restoration
• Sticker/wrap removal

Storage Operations Role Description

• Movement & organising of customer vehicles within facility
• Storage procedures including application of battery chargers, car covers, tyre pressure setting and engine start-ups
• Interacting with customers in a warm manner either in person, via phone or via email 
• General cleaning and presentation admin tasks
• Delivering customer vehicles as and when required

The applicant must:

1. Have an undeniable passion for at least a segment of the automotive industry
2. Have a minimum of 2 years experience detailing
3. Be comfortable working with older classic vehicles
4. Have a personable character and want to engage with customers and fellow team members
5. Include at least 2 references in their application
