Car Wash Attendant - Capricorn Auto Wash

Summerstar have a position available for a Car Wash Attendant at the Capricorn Auto Wash, in Carnarvon, Western Australia.

Capricorn Auto Wash is owned and operated by Summerstar Tourist Parks, which is a group of family-owned and operated Western Australian caravan parks and tourist parks. We operate in the following locations:

Ceduna, Esperance, Walpole, Margaret River, Busselton, Jurien Bay, Geraldton, Horrocks Beach, Kalbarri, Carnarvon, Eighty Mile Beach, Broome & Tom Price.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, ‘hands-on’ Car Wash Attendant, with a positive outlook, and good mechanical skills. You will have strengths in mechanical maintenance, grounds & handy-person maintenance tasks.

Common tasks performed include but are not limited to:

• Weekly Token Reset & Count
• Cash Float Reset
• Daily Sweep Out & Clean
• Empty Vacuum Bags & Rinse Dog Wash
• Biweekly Pit cleans (by hand and shovel)
• Troubleshoot, Fault-find & Repair Standard Issues
• Liaise with the Support Technicians, minor repairs and ordering of parts
• Ensure consumables are refilled
• Ensure ‘Critical Spares’ are in stock and replaced as used
• Completion of grounds-keeping tasks to ensure a high standard is maintained around the Car Wash via the mowing of lawns, hedging, garden and structures maintenance

• Ability to read and follow technical manuals 
• Physically fit
• A non-smoker is preferred
• You must reside in Carnarvon to be considered for this role 

This is a ‘hands-on’ role. You will be required to personally undertake the full range of tasks, associated with the operations and maintenance of a modern car and Auto Wash facility. The ideal candidate won't be afraid of hard work or of getting their hands dirty.

Casual hours (25 up to 38 per week), with the possibility of a permanent role. Additional hours will likely be available to assist with Capricorn Holiday Park tasks, if desired. 

The Casual hourly pay rate is - $34.79 per hour, Monday to Friday, plus penalty rates for weekends and public holidays.

The successful applicant, must currently hold a police clearance, first aid certificate & driver’s licence, or be able to acquire before the arranged start date.
