Our Perioperative Services Team seeking temporary / locum contracts for Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurses. Our Cardiac Cath Lab Nurses are also known as Procedural Nurses for Interventional Radiology, Angiograms, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) and Pacemakers. Please Note: The candidates we are seeking are not Cardiac Care Nurses, see work area details below for more information.
  
Position: Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurses.
  
Locum Dates: From 8-APR-2024 for 6-12 weeks  placements

Location: Townsville
   
Work Area: Our Cardiac Catheter Laboratory is a clinical speciality area that undertakes a range of interventional and diagnostic cardiac procedures for the treatment of cardiac and vascular disease. Procedures include:

• Transluminal balloon angioplasty
• Digital subtraction angiography
• Transluminal stent insertion
• Endoluminal graft insertion
• Embolisation
• Vascular access
• Nephrostomy
• Biliary stent
• Fistulagram
• Thrombosis
• IVC filter insertion/retrieval
• Fractional flow reserve
• Cardiac rhythm management
• Pacemaker Insertion - AICD(defib) and biventricular
• Drug eluting balloon insertion  

Our dedicated team of staff provides high quality care to patients in the unit, which is the only private Angiography Department in regional Queensland that provides such an extensive range of procedures.
  
The lab has two Angiography Suites - one dedicated to cardiac investigations and intervention, and the other to vascular and electro-physiology investigation and intervention.
