As the Cardiac CT Radiographer you are responsible for providing high level cardiac CT services to patients of Advara HeartCare in a purpose-built dedicated facility. This position is also responsible for setting up and maintaining the CT imaging rooms ahead of and after imaging procedure and assisting patients during all imaging procedures.

The position is required to work closely with other Cardiac CT Radiographers, Registered Nurses and admin staff to ensure the rostered lists are completed in a timely and professional manner in line with Advara HeartCare standards of patient care. 

What you’ll do:

  • Provide Cardiac CT examinations (including but not limited to CT Coronary Angiography, Structural Heart CT scans and Calcium Scores) to patients of Advara HeartCare with established CT practices whilst ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout.
  • Provide careful and accurate analysis of imaging, including workup and vessel tracking and any urgent findings are relayed to reporting cardiologists as required.
  • Perform any necessary administrative functions required to ensure patients examinations are completed in a timely manner.
  • Be vigilant at all times with regards to workplace health and safety by maintaining a clean, tidy and safe workplace, monitoring the performance and condition of testing equipment and supplies, and reporting any faults, malfunctions, damage or breakages to equipment or potential hazards to the Lead Radiographer, Clinical Services Manager and/or the relevant equipment vendors to resolve promptly.
  • Liaise with Administration staff to ensure clinical lists and appointments are utilised effectively.
  • Implement and comply with quality processes and mechanisms as required and suggest positive improvements to systems, processes, procedures, workflows and workloads to ensure the delivery of a quality testing service to Cardiology patients.
  • Participate actively in own professional development to ensure currency with established CT radiographic practices and procedures.
  • Work independently and collaboratively while communicating effectively with all patients, carers, Clinical Services Team and Administration Team to deliver high quality patient care outcomes.

Who you are: 

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Diagnostic Radiographer with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current WA radiation licence.
  • Experience in Cardiac CT imaging is preferred but not essential.
  • Demonstrated effective clinical and non-clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload. With the ability to effectively manage resources and competing priorities, and problem solve on the spot
  • Demonstrated responsibility for own continuing professional development (CPD) and willingness and ability to train in new modalities within Medical Imaging as the opportunities arise
  • Excellent patient care skills with a demonstrated ability to show a friendly, sensitive and professional approach when dealing with patients.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new processes and procedures.
