Job description

We are looking for an experienced Cardiac Echo Sonographer to join our private Cardiology Practice located in Geelong, Victoria.  The position is 1 to 3 days per week depending on demand. Available days - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Selection Criteria:

• Full accreditation with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry [ASAR] is a mandatory requirement of this position with a minimum of two years Clinical Sonography experience.

• Competency in performing and reporting Transthoracic Echocardiograms.

• Experience in managing a wide variety of echocardiography cases excluding paediatrics.

• Able to work independently with a high standard of clinical reasoning skills in the performance of echocardiography procedures.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of professionalism and reliability.

The suitable applicant requires the drive to be an active team member.

Duties:
• Deliver specialist level ultrasound services in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards using high level skills, knowledge and clinical experience. 
• Apply professional judgement and problem solving skills to a complex ultrasound caseload based on valid and reliable evidence

• ASAR accredited
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong patient focus
• High level of attention to detail

Remuneration is open due to experience and specialisation.
