Cardiac Educator

The Role
The Cardiac Educator provides a visiting service to all Sunrise and Wurli Wurlinjang clinics and communities providing individual and group services to cardiac patients and their families. The role is part of Sunrise’s team of Chronic Disease staff including dietitians, exercise physiologist, diabetes educator and others. It is based in Sunrise’s wider Community Health team that includes a Health Promotion team and a range of other programs. The Cardiac Nurse Educator will regularly travel to the nine remote clinic sites in Sunrise’s service delivery area and will also service Wurli Wurlinjang’s various clinics located through-out Katherine. Broadly speaking, theCardiac Educator will provide services on a 50/50 basis to Sunrise and Wurli Wurlinjang Health Service, alternating working one week at each organisation so will get a broad range of experience.
