Carpenter

AGIA Projects (ABN: 14 138 646 303) is an award-winning builder specialising in architecturally designed buildingprojects. We provide full range of services including construction, custom joinery & home maintenance servicesthroughout Sydney.

We are currently recruiting a qualified Full Time Carpenter to join our team.

Duties and responsibilities of the position include:

• Carve and assemble equipment, cabinets, shelves, and other items and install them where designated.
• Combines carpentry work with joining work.
• Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance.
• Build and install various structure such as window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using timbersor pre-constructed items.
• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp the job requirements.
• Build scaffolding and other construction structure.
• Shape irregular parts and trims excess materials to ensure the structure meets the specifications.
• Follow specification and standards of each project.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
• Cut, shape and smooth materials such as wood, timber, metals, plastic laminate etc. according to measurements

Qualifications required: AQF Certificate III including at least 2 years of on-the-job training, OR AQF Certificate IV,OR at least 3 years of relevant experience in the carpentry field in the absence of any formal education.
Work experience: Minimum 2 years of carpenter/Joiner work experience is required
