Summary:

Our client, Almara Holdings Pty Ltd, trading as Almara Cabinets, is renowned for its exceptional custom cabinetry services across Melbourne. With over 30 years of history, they specialize in bespoke storage solutions excluding kitchens and bathrooms. They are currently seeking a dedicated Carpenter and Joiner to join their skilled team, offering an opportunity to work on unique projects that enhance living spaces.

The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Construct and install structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, wallboard and Melamine board.

• Cut, shape, and fit timber parts to form structures and fittings.

• studying drawings and specifications to determine materials required, dimensions and installation procedures.

• Ordering and selecting timbers and materials, and preparing layouts.

• Cutting materials, and assembling and nailing cut and shaped parts.

• Nailing jointed panels, construct interior and exterior fittings, door, door frames and windows.

• Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install.

• Cutting wood joints, Melamine boards and other materials.

• Repair existing fittings and structures.

• Work with plastic work with plastic laminates, perspex, and metals.

• Making specific fittings for cupboards & furniture.

• Clean and repair all equipment necessary for specific work, including hand-saws, table saws, skill saws, and a variety of drills and sanding tools

• Reinforce joints and attachments to maximise sturdiness and durability without compromising aesthetic appeal or functionality

• Ensure all work is prepared in accordance with the required OHCS and other relevant regulations.

• Discussing with clients and maintain good customer service relationship.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:

• Must hold a Certificate III in Carpentry or Joinery.

• Minimum 2-3 years Australian experience in a similar role.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team.

• Committed to maintaining high-quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
