APAC FM have been engaged to source 3 x Fire Door Installers/Technicians for their NSW Fire Division - This role will play a pivotal role in delivering effective fire safety solutions by ensuring the correct installation, repair & maintenance of Fire Doors for their key commercial clients adhering to compliance & regulations.

Typical day within the role:
- Installation, repair, and maintenance of Fire Doors and related components.
- Ensure compliance with relevant fire safety regulations, building codes & industry standards.
- Conduct inspections and assessments of Fire Doors to identify any deficiencies or safety hazards.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other relevant parties to ensure timely completion of Fire Door installation projects.
- Provide expert advice on Fire Door specifications, materials, and hardware selection.
- Perform Fire Door testing, including smoke seal and fire seal testing, to verify performance and integrity.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all Fire Door installations, repairs, and inspections.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to Fire Door installation and maintenance.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent/trade qualified
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Fire Door installation, repair, and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant Australian fire safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with different types of Fire Doors, their components, and installation methods.
- Strong carpentry skills, including the ability to accurately measure, cut, and install Fire Doors and their associated hardware.
- Experience in conducting inspections and assessments of Fire Doors, identifying deficiencies, and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Proficient in using tools and equipment specific to Fire Door installation and repair.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure proper functionality and compliance of Fire Doors.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to different job sites as required.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all relevant health and safety guidelines.
