Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd is situated in Mackay and operates 2 aged care facilities comprising 280 beds across both sites: Good Shepherd Lodge and Kerrisdale Gardens, as well as over 100 Independent Living Units and Home Care services. CARPENTER / MAINTENANCE / ALL ROUNDER

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to work within our friendly Support Services team.  You will provide attention to detail on a wide variety of maintenance tasks and basic plumbing jobs. This position provides support to both facilities. This is a full-time position, however, we may consider part-time and casual.

Applicants must: 

• Be trade qualified, 
• Have their own vehicle (work vehicle may not always be available),
• Have a current manual driver's license,
• Participate in random Drug and Alcohol tests,
• Provide evidence of three Covid-19 vaccinations in accordance with the current Public Health Directive for Aged Care Facilities and an annual flu shot.
• Have a Police Check Clearance (or be willing to apply for),

Desirable:

• Construction industry induction (White Card),
• Working at heights Certificate,
• First Aid and CPR.

These attributes are a must:

• Able to work unsupervised,
• Honest,
• Ability to read plans and follow instructions,
• Willingness to work as part of a team,
• Reliable, self-motivated and a good communicator,
• Computer literate,
• Strong work ethic,
• Friendly to customers (relatable to people),
• Work within a team and independently to complete daily tasks to a high standard and within deadlines.
