CARPENTER/SIGNAGE INSTALLER – SA 

The Company 

WSP Services specialises in providing a wide range of project management, construction and maintenance services including signage installation, fuel system installation, electric vehicle charging, general and hazardous area electrical installation services, general building, remedial and fit-out works, with a majority of our project and maintenance contract work in the retail service station industry

With operations around Australia, and our Head Office based in Kilsyth VIC, this is your opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality services out of our Adelaide office in SA.   

The Opportunity 

You will be working within a small dedicated team and will have the opportunity to undertake the installation of signage packages across all major brands of fuel retailers. Additionally, you will utilise your trade background to undertake general building, fit outs and site optimisation works. With this role, we will encourage you to develop your site management and leadership skills to manage end to end your project end to end . 

The scope of the role will include, but not limited to the following: 

• Installation of all types of signage (Pylons, Decals, Fascia and Portal ACM Cladding)
• Site measure and inspections.
• Interpret drawings and client branding standards.
• General carpentry and minor make good works. 
• Joinery and Fitout works.
• Structural steel works including canopy repairs, make safes and upgrades.
• Civil works inc large signage footings and /or supervision and management of such trades to undertake works.
• Confidently deliver and submit all close out paperwork and documentation required by the client and statutory regulators.
• Supervise and manage a diverse range of specialised sub-contractors. Ensure they deliver work to a high standard of quality with strong compliance to both the client and WSP safe work practices. 
• Ability to work to highest onsite safety standards

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills/experience:

• 2+ Years of industry experience.
• Strong safety focus and culture.
• Hold a valid Driver’s License.
• Have a White Card.
• EWP and Medium Truck License would be advantageous.  
• Exposure to retail service station & WPCG accreditation (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to use web-based systems and apps.
• Unwavering attention to detail. 
• Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and customer service etiquette  
• Excellent time management and organisational skills. 
• Have critical thinking and problem-solving skills.  
• The ability to work autonomously and within a team. 
• Willingness to travel and support various site projects in regional SA locations or interstate if required.
