Ongoing full-time opportunity

Salary ranging from $79,032 to $86,539pa. Plus, employer contribution to superannuation (11%) and annual leave loading (17.5%)

Your role

Case Co-ordinators are the first point of contact for clients and referrers seeking assistance to resolve disputes.

CJC provides services for a wide variety of disputes including family, workplace, neighbourhood, commercial, clubs & associations, wills and estates, social/friends, guardianship, business/consumer, as well as small- and large-scale disputes.

What you'll do

Case Co-ordinators provide information regarding CJC services; assist parties with skills and strategies to settle disputes themselves; conduct preliminary interviews to determine the suitability for mediation and/or other settlement processes; prepare parties for mediation and administer the organisation of mediation sessions throughout NSW.

You will work as part the Case Coordination team, managing your own caseload, but also collaborating with other team members and CJC mediators, on how best to support clients to resolve their disputes.

What we're looking for

  • Mediation training which meets the National Mediator Accreditation Standards or Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner or equivalent training, qualifications or professional development in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), law, or social sciences
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting people from diverse backgrounds including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander; culturally and linguistically diverse; people with disabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in high volume case coordination, case management or equivalent such as high level administrative and organisational experience.
  • Demonstrated experience providing professional and empathic assistance to clients displaying difficult and challenging behaviours including emotional distress.
