Edmen Community are currently recruiting a Casework Clinician on behalf of our community service partner, Infinity Community Solutions Ltd.

ICS Child Protection Residential Intervention Services focus on attachment-centered care within a trauma-informed therapeutic environment. We employ a diverse multi-disciplinary team to collaborate on identifying and addressing therapeutic needs for children, young people, and their families, facilitating a smooth transition to family-based care settings.
About You
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services or similar
- South Australian P2 (or higher) drivers license
- SA Working with Children Check
- Possess or be willing to obtain a "Suitable" Statement of Psychological Suitability
- Demonstrated skills and experience working with children and families
- Demonstrated experience providing assessment, planning processes and support around the management of children with difficult behaviours
- Demonstrated intermediate ability to use computer IT systems including MS Word and Excel
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and professional working relationships within the community
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the developmental needs of children and young people, the impacts of trauma, and the resulting emotional and behavioural issues and the ability to build positive relationships with children and young people in care
The Casework Clinician role involves providing clinical and case work support for children in residential and outreach services within a statutory out-of-home care context. The position requires working directly with children and young people facing complex behavioral issues in both residential and community care settings. The Casework Clinician will work between the ICS head office in Thebarton and the residential services they will be supporting. Salary packaging options available for increased take-home pay.
Responsibilities
- Conducting assessments and develop, review and update therapeutic plans for children and young people in Residential Care
- Develop, review and update Behaviour Support Plans for children and young people in Residential Care
- Undertake key case management tasks including reviewing key service documentation and facilitating and engaging in informal and formal supports for children and young people
- Review and action critical incident management for children and young people.
- Participate in relevent stakeholder forums as required in the child or young persons plans.
- Work collaboratively with your line manager to identify client needs and deliver appropriate services within available resources, continually assessing effectiveness and responding to changing needs and dynamics
- Encourage and assist the child/young person to be actively involved in activities that enhance their wellbeing, relationships and resilience, including school, recreational, sporting, religious and cultural activities, or any other special activities.
- Identify cultural needs and connect children and young people with culturally appropriate resource options in their local community, in accordance with the placement care plan for the young person
