We have an opportunity for a casual Cash Room Assistant. We are seeking a qualified and professional individual with a great work ethic, to become an essential member of our team. The role will consist of 10-20 hours per week to assist with our Cash Room operations. Shift hours are between 10am and 7pm Monday to Friday.
Border Security will only appoint applicants who display a high caliber of integrity, honesty and professionalism.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Ensuring the accurate and secure processing of large volumes of currency movements.
- Data entry using several integrated software programs.
- Client order processing and fulfilling.
- The efficient use of specialty equipment used for the purpose of carrying out daily tasks.
- Maintain accurate cash processing records and verification to ensure balancing.
- Adhere to strict security and operational procedures and rules.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Computer proficiency including knowledge of the Microsoft Office suit with particular attention to excel data input.
- Capable to acquire concepts and processes competently.

- Possess a natural tendency for attention to detail.
- A good level of fitness, as repetitive manual handling is involved.
Immediate start with full training provided, however previous experience in cash handling and a financial background would be an advantage. Applicants will be assessed on their previous employment history and capability to perform the role. Flexibility with availability for shifts will be an advantage.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment Medical Check and Criminal History Check process.
