We are seeking professional and friendly staff to join our Front of House and Box Office teams!
Wagga Civic Theatre is a workplace that celebrates diversity and we are proud to live and work on Wiradjuri Country. The Civic Theatre is a 491 seat theatre that presents an annual main stage season of theatre, music and dance and hosts professional touring productions. The theatre also produces a children's season each year as well as a day time concert series and other events throughout the year including Wagga Comedy Fest.
- Remuneration of $32.25 gross per hour + superannuation.
- Shifts are rostered monthly and vary with the scheduled program including both daytime and evening performances.
The Front of House and Box Office teams are responsible for delivering high quality Front of House services for patrons attending performances at the Civic Theatre.
The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Work effectively as part of the Front of House and Box Office teams with a positive attitude.
- Provide excellent customer service to all hirers and patrons through selling tickets, answering queries, checking tickets, troubleshooting issues and directing patrons to seats.
- Perform bar duties efficiently including serving customers, cash handling, and restocking.
- Perform other duties as required to a high standard including; ticket bookings, ticket collections, cash handling, queue management, selling merchandise and programs.
- Ensure the venue is presented to a high standard to ensure a premium experience and maintain the safety, security and comfort of theatre patrons.
- Enact warden duties as per the theatre’s emergency management plan as trained in response to an emergency.
Special Considerations
This position is required to be available during and outside of normal business hours, including late nights and weekends, however the team also rely on people who only have daytime availability. You must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
What you will need to succeed:
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate or willingness to obtain;
- Advanced customer service skills to warmly welcome, actively engage and assist patrons with queries during their visit to the theatre;
- The ability to work under pressure; and
- To be highly motivated, enthusiastic and conscientious.
