Job description

CTST is a vibrant and growing not-for-profit charitable community organisation whose vision is that everyone has access to community transport. We specialise in providing reliable, high quality and safe transport to older people and people with a condition preventing them from undertaking daily activities.

CTST’s impact is delivered via a workforce of over 350 passionate people, with the majority being volunteers, 90 vehicles, modern and sophisticated systems, great attitudes and, most importantly, we are consumer directed.

At CTST, we value diversity and promote a workplace culture that is committed to driving innovation, collaboration, professionalism, and respect.

About the Role

As a result of increased demand for services, we have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Driver to join our team in Queenstown. The casual position is classified at Grade 3 of the Passenger Vehicle Transportation Award (PVT) with the added benefit of salary sacrifice options.

The successful person will be offered casual shifts Monday to Friday within our normal operating hours to deliver community transport to our consumers.

Key responsibilities of the position are to:

  • Operate CTST vehicles of varying sizes safely, and with specific consideration for the needs of passengers including wheelchair users
  • Maintain a professional and appropriate relationship with passengers, employees, and the general public at all times
  • Confident in the use of hand-held electronic devices eg: i-Pad and smartphone
  • Able to work autonomously, interpret a “run sheet” and organise work with limited supervision
  • Ensure that vehicles are always maintained in a safe operating condition, including the completion of pre-departure checks
  • Follow established procedures for record keeping and reporting
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Coordinators/Coordinators and your team  to overcome any barriers to providing an optimal service

Previous experience in passenger transportation would be advantageous but not essential.

About You
