About the Role
As a result of increased demand for services, we have an exciting opportunity for a Casual Driver to join our team in Queenstown. The casual position is classified at Grade 3 of the Passenger Vehicle Transportation Award (PVT) with the added benefit of salary sacrifice options.
The successful person will be offered casual shifts Monday to Friday within our normal operating hours to deliver community transport to our consumers.
Key responsibilities of the position are to:
- Operate CTST vehicles of varying sizes safely, and with specific consideration for the needs of passengers including wheelchair users
- Maintain a professional and appropriate relationship with passengers, employees, and the general public at all times
- Confident in the use of hand-held electronic devices eg: i-Pad and smartphone
- Able to work autonomously, interpret a “run sheet” and organise work with limited supervision
- Ensure that vehicles are always maintained in a safe operating condition, including the completion of pre-departure checks
- Follow established procedures for record keeping and reporting
- Work collaboratively with Senior Coordinators/Coordinators and your team to overcome any barriers to providing an optimal service
Previous experience in passenger transportation would be advantageous but not essential.
About You
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Must hold a current driver’s licence
- Must have a Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (or be willing to obtain)
- Must have a current National Police Check (or be willing to obtain)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with all stakeholders
- Be flexible, approachable, and committed to high end service delivery
- A team player, with computer literacy and high levels of organisation
