The Role
Programmed is currently seeking casual Electricians for work on ship to shore container cranes Port of Brisbane.
The site works a 24-hour 7day operation the successful applicants will be offered work and if available to help cover maintenance and operational support. Day, evenings and night shifts throughout the week and weekends.
Successful applicants will have previous heavy industrial experience, mine site or refinery experience, with a strong work ethic and demonstrated commitment to safety.
Key responsibilities
- Attend to breakdowns and repairs.
- Abilitiy to solve complex problems, think outside the box and a drive for solution.
- Carry out preventative, planned corrective and reactive maintenance
- Condition based maintenance and reliability-based maintenance inspections
- Carry out repairs on faulty equipment and improve the reliability of the equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on equipment.
Skills, Experience and Attributes
The ideal candidate will possess the following;
- Australian Recognised Electrical Trade Certificate
- Hold a current A Grade Electrical License
- Proficient in PLC fault finding, diagnostics, repair and programming (Siemens highly regarded)
- Strong knowledge of VSD, soft starters and motor control troubleshooting
- High risk qualifications - Highly regarded (Forklift, Elevated Work Platform)

Currently hold a nationally accredited Working at Heights ticket.
