The Opportunity
Casual opportunity to assist in the administration and delivery of events at Moonee Valley Council’s Incinerator Gallery. This exciting position will work as part of a hard working team to provide a professional standard of customer service to visitors of the gallery, providing a welcoming, safe and comfortable environment for all.
Responsibilities
- Provide support in the delivery of different programs at the Incinerator Gallery
- Handle and process bookings for the venue along with processing financial transactions
- Contribute to a professional culture with the team as well as the department
- Open and close the gallery on weekdays, weekends and evening events
- Provide a high level of customer service to all venue patrons and stakeholders both in person and over the phone
Skills & Experience
- Qualified or undertaking qualifications in fine/visual or arts administration with some work-related experience or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated administration experience, ideally within the visual and performing arts or events sector
- Demonstrated experience in the daily venue operations of a gallery or other arts facility, and an understanding of working with artists and community groups
- Experience in providing quality customer service, ideally within the visual and performing arts or events sector
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certification and First Aid qualifications, or willingness to obtain
