From witnessing local athletes' training, competitions, and games in ice sports like ice hockey, figure skating, and curling to engaging in core recreational activities such as general ice skating night sessions, ice skating lessons, birthday parties, functions, and ice bykes, you'll be immersed in the vibrant skating community.

Lead by Example and Make a Difference

We are currently seeking a professional Night Manager who can lead our team by example during their shifts. As the Ice Arena operates 7 days a week from 5.30am to approximately 11.30pm, a willingness to work evening and weekend shifts is essential. 

This position is available in a casual capacity, offering 10-15 hours per week. Evening shifts typically start from 4.30pm/5pm.

Key Responsibilities for Night Ice Arena Managers:

  • Provide clear direction and support to the team, actively engaging with front-of-house areas such as reception, skate hire, and café, as well as both rink areas and back-of-house operations.
  • Handle customer enquiries and effectively resolve routine issues in a customer service-oriented environment.
  • Manage and coordinate the initial first aid response to injured skaters.
  • Ensure the facility is closed efficiently at the end of the night, maintaining a safe, clean and tidy environment.

Essential Skills and Experience for Night Managers:

  • Proven experience in team management.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexible availability, including late nights and weekends.
  • Ability to actively engage on the floor during peak service periods.
  • Willingness to learn the unique skill of operating the Zamboni - our ride on ice resurfacer. 
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Senior First Aid Certificate and the confidence to administer First Response.
  • Forklift license (desirable but not essential).
  • Working with Children Check (WA).
  • National Police Clearance.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
