Seeka Australia requires 100 seasonal horticultural labourers to thin, pick and prune a variety of Kiwifruit, Nashi, and Pear trees located on 9 orchards in the Bunbartha and Mundoona areas of Victoria. Nine months of work is expected to commence in late September 2024. No previous experience is necessary, as on job training will be provided. Candidates should be motivated and be able to learn quickly. Work is physical and outdoors. Successful candidates will be required for 7 am starts and 4pm finishes, with most work occuring Monday to Friday and some weekends offered, though this may vary due to weather conditions. Successful candidates will be required to work in a range of weather conditions, use pruning and picking equipment, work in a team with others, and have the ability to work quickly and with accuracy. Successful candidates will be offered employment on casual basis under the Horticulture Award 2020 and will be provided with a minimum of 30 hours of work per week. To be considered for these positions, candidates residing out of the region will need to demonstrate committment to moving and living in the region for the full 9 month duration.
