Casual Personal Care Assistant

We are seeking casual Personal Care Assistants to join our care team at our Mitchell House facility, in Morwell VIC.

The Position:
The Personal Care Assistant is responsible for providing competent Personal Care, support and assistance to all residents under the direction and guidance of the senior clinical team. On a day to day basis this position shall report to the Care Manager or in-charge Registered Nurse. Indirect reports shall include other organisational management representatives.

Key Duties:

• Provide Personal Care to assist residents to maintain independence and dignity with respect to activities of daily living and lifestyle.
• Attend to meal delivery and refreshments as required.
• Record observations on relevant assessment charts and documents any observed exceptions to the care plan in the progress notes; and reports such to the EN/RN.
• Check residents daily menu requirements.
• Attend to duties as allocated and or delegated by the RN/EN, including general ward duties.
• Any other task not defined but within the employees skills, as directed by the organisation.

Essential:

• Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
• Relevant Certificate III Qualification.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in residential aged care.
