About Country Club Tasmania
Located 10 minutes from the Launceston City, Country Club Tasmania offers a wide variety of entertainment spaces, food and beverage outlets and is the preferred accommodation of several Tasmanian and interstate businesses.
Surrounded by beautiful bushland, native wildlife, and an 18-hole golf course currently undergoing extensive renovations, Country Club has something for everyone. With a pool and spa, horse riding, and resort rooms and self-contained villas, the resort has been designed with relaxation in mind.
What’s the role?
As the first point of contact for our valued guests, you will assist guests with a variety of enquiries, including hotel reservations for rooms and restaurants, ticket sales, housekeeping requests, switchboard operations, and more. Your attention to detail, friendly demeanour, and proactive approach will ensure our guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience from the moment they make their reservation.
What you will need to succeed in the role
Our preferred candidate will have:
- Relevant Front Office experience in a large hotel or resort environment
- Exceptional communication skills and high standard of personal presentation
- A passion for the hospitality industry
- The ability to work in a fast paced, high pressured environment
- Confidence in communicating with a variety of key stakeholders
- A flexible approach to working shift work, including early morning starts and late night finishes, across a seven day roster
- Strong computer skills, ideally with knowledge in use of a computerised reservations system or similar
- Effective problem solving, quick thinking, decision making and analytical skills
The preferred candidate must also satisfy a fitness for work assessment, of which they will be required to complete a pre-employment health questionnaire for health and safety purposes.
