About This Opportunity  

The University of Queensland is seeking multiple casual Student Ambassador to support the Future Students team to run and promote our activities.

The Student Ambassador will be a casual employee of UQ and will work with the Future Student team Provide prospective students and their parents with an insight into university life and study opportunities based on your own experiences.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Communicate with people of all ages to encourage, motivate and inspire them to commence, continue and complete their studies successfully

  • Participate in Open Day, campus tours and interactive workshops (where relevant), or other events requested by team leader.

  • Join in promotional photo shoots or video projects.

  • Write student testimonials for our publications, email campaigns and take over our social media accounts to give an insight into your study experiences.

  • May require travel outside campus to delivery presentation or attend events.

This is a casual position at HEW Level 1 $37.90 per hour plus 11% superannuation.


About You
  • Currently enrolled domestic or international student at UQ.

  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to learn fast and be challenged, be keen to try new ideas and learn new things constantly.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and also independently, and to commit to a roster.

  • Reliability and a commitment to high standards of personal conduct

  • Well-developed organisational skills and ability to connect across schools and faculties of UQ

 In addition, the following mandatory requirements apply:

  • Work Rights: You must have work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
