ABOUT THE ROLE
The Casual Teacher, International Programs provides professional teaching and vocational expertise, across all aspects of teaching delivery, this may include Short/Industry courses, Skills First, Domestic and or international projects, delivery, planning and performance to ensure excellent outcomes for learners, the organisations that employ them and the communities they serve.
This position focuses on excellence in learner support, teaching delivery and learning assessment, resource development and educational administration.
Casual teachers are used on an as required basis to cover various staffing situations offshore including international training requests, additional workload arising from increased class sizes, or the uncertainty surrounding a particular course. On this basis hours are variable and cannot be guaranteed.

ABOUT YOU
You are experienced VET Teacher with the following qualifications, skills & experience:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
- Vocational qualifications at AQF level 4 or above relevant to Electrical or Electrical Engineering
- Vocational currency as demonstrated through a range of work and related experience
- Registration with relevant professional bodies/associations as required for the discipline
- Strong understanding of contemporary approaches to education, teaching and learning
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver succinct, up to date and engaging program materials and training sessions
- Ability to identify potential and existing setbacks and challenges in a classroom environment and effectively resolve these
- Ability to motivate and guide students to optimise their learning outcomes
- High level awareness of, and responsiveness to, learners from a broad range of backgrounds and emotional contexts
- Proven ability to understand and readily adapt to changing circumstances both within and outside the classroom
