Not your average supervisor role!

Hockey WA is seeking a Casual Venue Supervisor to deliver high quality food, beverage and customer service to patrons at Perth Hockey Stadium. Key elements of the role are ensuring the best possible presentation of WA's premier hockey venue and maintaining operations for effective functioning of the venue.

The Stadium is used extensively during the year for participation programs, club training and competitions, high-performance programs (including the Hockey Australia High-Performance Program (Hockeyroos and Kookaburras), tournaments and major events.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the states most progressive state sporting associations. 

Key responsibilities include:
  • Operational Oversight: Coordinate day-to-day operations, supervise venue staff, and ensure adherence to policies.
  • Customer Service and Transactions: Provide quality customer service, handle concerns, oversee cash and EFTPOS transactions.
  • Venue Maintenance and Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness, organize spaces, monitor hygiene standards, and report maintenance needs. 
  • Logistics and Emergency Management: Manage inventory, process orders, conduct bar maintenance, and implement the Emergency Management Plan.
Essential Criteria:
  • Supervisory and Team Management: Prior experience in a supervisory role, including proven team management.
  • Customer Service and Licensing: Exceptional customer service skills and knowledge of liquor license regulations.
  • Professionalism and Efficiency: Professional, helpful, and efficient, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability and Initiative: Adaptable communication, critical thinking, and enthusiastic team player who seeks efficiencies and shares ideas.
  • PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS        
    • The following requirements must either be held by the individual or, the individual must be willing to obtain them prior to their formal commencement.
      • National Police Clearance (6 months validity).
      • Working with Children Check.
      • Responsible Service of Alcohol Licence (RSA).
      • Unrest
      • Food Safe - Food Handler Certificate.
      • Certificate III In Commercial Cooking (desirable).

This is a casual contract. Due to the nature of the role, weekdays, weekends and evenings, will be required.
