About the role
We are seeking Catering Assistants to join the kitchen team in our client's boarding school's facilities located in Potts Point, Rose Bay and Waverly, in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.
Shift Schedule
- Shifts are available Monday to Sunday
- Shift times will be discussed with the successful applicant during the interviewing process.
- Weekend and Public Holiday Loadings apply.
*The successful applicant must have their current Working with Children Check or be willing to apply for one. *
* The successful applicant must have received at least 2 doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine and provide a current Police check or be willing to apply for one. *
Skills and experience
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines
- Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
- The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen.
- Well presented and good customer service skills.
- Access to own reliable transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing meal service to our students.
- Cleaning of serveries and dining room set up
- Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents
- Washing dishes in the main kitchen and plating of meals
- Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen
- Function set up and clear down
- Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day to day tasks
- Food and beverage service
