Cottermouth currently has positions available within our hospitality services team for experienced Catering and Cooking staff to join our friendly team, on a casual basis.

Cottermouth, Scouts ACT’s premier group accommodation, camping and adventure facility, is located in a picturesque setting adjacent to the Murrumbidgee River just 7 minutes’ drive from the outskirts of Canberra via the Cotter Road. Set on two sites across 24 hectares (59 acres), Cottermouth offers cabin and camping accommodation, conference and dining experiences, and outdoor adventure to school and community groups, Scout groups, and the general public. Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook and deliver food in adherence with Australian food safety standards and dietary requirements of our residents
Be willing to undertake and support the team with daily kitchen and cooking operations
Be required to uphold impeccable hygiene standards
What you will bring to the role:
Prior hospitality experience working in a kitchen or cooking, preferably supported by a Certificate II in Cookery or Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Enthusiasm and strong self-motivation
Great communication skills and excellent attention to detail
Current Working with Vulnerable People registration, or you have the ability to acquire
Demonstrate a strong customer focus by responding in a professional and helpful manner to all our guests and campers
Ability to support and work within a team environment
Ability to complete tasks by using time management skills
