Caterpillar is hiring for our Underground Autonomous Mining Intern Program (approx 8 months), which is designed to build knowledge and employee skill sets in Underground Autonomous technologies.
As an intern you will get exposure to the underground product development and technology implementation, working on diverse projects in a supporting role. You will receive personalized onboarding, soft-skills, technical training and participate in a variety of Underground Autonomous development roles and exposure to a Global Company.
This internship will support Caterpillar's Resource Industries Integrated Component & Solutions (ICS) Division. ICS is a one-stop shop for Caterpillar employees who are committed to delivering Caterpillar's exceptional value throughout surface and underground mine sites.
The team is passionate about meeting the needs of our customers against the background of rapidly evolving sustainability goals within the mining industry, and we are vigilant about enhancing our worksite execution through superior customer service, and new innovative solutions, services, and technology offerings. Required Qualifications:
Currently at university in a Mechatronics Engineering program, or a closely related field.
Must have an advanced level of proficiency in both written and spoken English.
Desired Qualifications:
Relevant work experience related to Mining or Technology Support industry.
Strong soft skills and some analytical skills to interpret and understand data.
Ability to influence change and experience in stakeholder management.
Strong ability to work independently and to communicate with others in a variety of work environments.
Ability to guide change and solve problems.
Strong customer focus and technical aptitude.
Important Information
The program will run from February to December 2024
Must have the ability to work full time during school holidays and part-time during the school term
